Privacy
Last updated: October 9, 2026. This notice covers the Sonicloom beta website and its SonicLoom audio-mixing extension.
Audio stays on your device
SonicLoom accesses audio from browser tabs you explicitly add through the extension. It processes that audio locally for mixing, metering, buffering, tempo changes and beat analysis. It does not record your microphone or camera. Captured audio and sound-bite buffers stay in memory and are released when their source is released or the mixer closes.
Sonicloom decodes the audio files you choose on your device. Its binaural tones are generated locally. Website recordings remain in memory until you download them or close the page; they include local layers and binaural tones, not audio captured by the extension.
Titles, links and mixer controls
The extension reads the URL and title of each tab you choose to capture. When you connect Sonicloom, it shares captured-source titles, URLs and mixer state with the Sonicloom page in the same browser. Sonicloom sends level, mute, routing and crossfade commands back to the extension. The application does not upload this audio or metadata to a developer-operated server. Only the exact Sonicloom website origins listed in the extension manifest can use this bridge.
Optional video output
Choose video tab opens the browser sharing picker. Only the tab, window or screen you select is displayed locally in your visual output window, without capturing its audio. Stop video sharing or close the mixer to end capture. Video is not uploaded or recorded by this feature. Audio spectrum measurements drive the visualizer locally.
Local storage
The extension saves playlist URLs and play durations locally on this device. The extension uses Chrome session storage for mixer and handoff tab identifiers. The website stores imported audio files, names, scenes and workspace settings in IndexedDB, and saved YouTube links, binaural settings and workspace mode in local storage. Storage is specific to each browser and website origin. Nothing is automatically transferred between devices or domains.
Services you visit
Opening YouTube links sends ordinary web requests to YouTube, which operates under its own policies. Our hosting provider receives the network information needed to serve the website, such as IP addresses and request metadata, and may use service logs or authentication under its own policies. The Sonicloom application code has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK or remote audio-processing service.

Your controls
Release captured sources or close the mixer to stop capture. Disconnect Studio in the extension to revoke website mixer control for the session. Remove a saved link with its remove button. Clear workspace removes local audio layers and scenes; to erase all website settings and links, clear this site's data in your browser. Uninstalling the extension removes its extension storage, but does not erase the website's storage or recordings you downloaded. Downloaded files can be deleted through your file manager.
Limited use
Information is used to provide the audio-mixing functions you request. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness. The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Changes
This prototype may change during beta. We will update this notice before adding new data handling, accounts, analytics or cloud processing.
